freelance journalist

I'm a UK-based freelance journalist, editor and translator working extensively in both print and digital media. I specialise in travel, disability, news and lifestyle features, as well as blogging and online editing.

I write for newspapers including the Independent, Sunday Times, Guardian, Telegraph, and Mail on Sunday, and magazines including National Geographic Traveller, the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, GQ and Grazia. I've also reported on news stories for the Sun, Mail and News of the World. International publications include Bergdorf Goodman, Life & Style, ASTA magazine and the Toronto Globe and Mail.

Online, I was assistant editor at HotelChatter and contributing editor at Jaunted, two of Condé Nast Digital's daily web magazines, until their closure in 2015. I used to edit their sister website, VegasChatter, and I've also written for Condé Nast Traveler, Racked, High50, Grazia Daily, the Huffington Post, Mail Online and The First Post.

Before going freelance, I spent three years at thelondonpaper, first as features writer, then as travel editor, before its closure in September 2009, and launched Jetsetter's UK site in 2011.

I'm also available for Italian-English translation work, and freelance as an Italian "reader" for the Orion Publishing Group.

I'm currently based between Cornwall and London.
